Taylor-Wilson hydrotesters

Our nameplate has been at the forefront of hydrostatic pipe testing machinery since 1911. We were the first to design, build and install a fully automatic, in-line hydrostatic pipe tester. And over the years, that dedication to innovation continues to drive our business and has helped us become a global resource in the oil country tubular goods (OCTG) market. Not only do we meet the needs of our customers through technological innovations, but through the flexibility, efficiency and safety that our testers deliver.
Taylor-Wilson hydrotesters test pipe and tube with an O.D. from less than 25mm (1 inch) to over 610mm (24 inches). With quick-change tooling, can process over a 4:1 variation in O.D. on a single machine. Throughput requirements: single-head, low-pressure testers for off-line use to multi-head (two, three or four heads) high-speed machines for in-line mill applications.
Taylor-Wilson hydrotester technology
- Self-contained water filtration system to control the water for trouble-free operation
- Internal crane mechanism improves servicing of the system
- Fast and accurate test pressure build times
- Data can be transmitted through the PLC control and network to other areas of the finishing floor
Sealing
Multiple sealing device options for a variety of applications:traditional U-cup, end-sealing, I.D. sealing and collapsing seal.
Pressure control
Tests with stable pressure of 35 bars (500 psi) to over 1,750 bars (25,000 psi). Test hold time can be easily varied to specific standards.
End Condition
Designs can accommodate plain end square cuts, API line pipe ends, threaded and coupled ends, mill sawed ends or pierced ends.
Safety
Fully enclosed test hood provides increased protection. Bulletproof windows for operator safety. Optional video camera for remote operation.
